In New York State all CPA Firms that provide attest services must go through peer review every 3 years. The Peer reviewer reports their findings to the governing state board of accountancy: their rating can be Pass, Pass with deficiency(ies), Fail.
Peer review is an audit of the auditors to promote quality in the accounting and auditing services that CPA Firms provide. An independent CPA Firm, approved by the government, examines the accounting and audit works of the CPA Firm that is audited to ensure that they are doing high quality work.
We continue to improve on our client services and on serving small and medium sized businesses and nonprofit organizations better.
